Stunt Flying for Television and Filming

Introduction

Flying scenes for television and film work is a highly specialised task requiring our pilots to be extremely skilled. Due to the nature of this type of television and film work we may need to approach the CAA for approval on your behalf. Due to our experience and proven track record the CAA has issued us with a permanent exemption for aerial/filming photography, which enables our helicopters to fly within 60m of the subject. If you are looking for a certain colour helicopter or certain markings to be added, our helicopters can be painted in different colours with a non-soluble but removable paint. We also use a graphic design company who can customize any graphics should you be looking for a unique look or certain markings.

General Points

Flying helicopters at extremely low level in built up areas is achievable with the use our twin engine helicopters. Flying helicopters over most parts of London, as a general rule, is not permitted. There are certain exceptions were permissions could be obtained. Please let us know if this is your filming location and we will contact the relevant authorities on your behalf. It may be necessary to arrange a site visit prior to filming, which there may be a charge for. On this visit an inspection of the area for safety purposes will be carried out and in particular obstacles such as overhead wires or items that can be damaged from down drafts will be assessed. Helicopters with floatation devices are available for over water filming and television work.
