Shoreham Airport based on the Sussex Coast approximately 8 miles from the centre of Brighton West Sussex, and 4 miles from Worthing, West Sussex. Travelling from London by car would be about 50 miles. Shoreham Airport was established in 1936 and has long been a popular flying centre for people learning to fly both planes and helicopters.

Thruxton Nr Andover, Hampshire

Thruxton Airport is extremely well known as it is both an airfield and Famous Motor Racing circuit. Thruxton Airport was opened in 1942 and was used by the RAF. It is on the A303 between Salisbury and Andover and about 25 miles north of Southampton. Travelling by car from central London it is approximately 80 miles.
