Aerial Filming and Photography
Introduction
Aerial filming and photography from a helicopter, whether stills or moving images, is a highly specialised task. It requires an understanding of the customer’s requirements, an appreciation of the operating envelope of the helicopter and the helicopters performance.
Helicopters4hire has a wealth of experience in aerial photography and filming with an extensive fleet of helicopters and a team of very experienced professional pilots. This ensures the success of the job and the safety of the crew without compromising the customer’s requirements.
Our main Helicopter base is near Brighton, West Sussex and we also have operational bases in Hampshire and Norfolk. We can provide helicopters on location without lengthy positioning flights, which minimises the cost and duration of aerial filming/photography tasks.
Due to our experience and proven track record the CAA has issued us with a permanent exemption for aerial/filming photography, which enables our helicopters to fly within 60m of the subject.
An impressive portfolio of previous tasks can be available on request.
Helicopters4hire has relationships with suppliers of cameras, mounts and support equipment ensuring we can meet your needs with a single phone call. Our transparent pricing provides the confidence that you will always receive a professional service.
General Points
Doors can be removed on all helicopters but this may affect the helicopters cruise speed.
The “Maximum All Up Weight” of the helicopter governs loading; therefore the fewer passengers and equipment the longer the flight duration and need for refuelling.
Camera mounts are specific to each helicopter type and their usage must be discussed with the operations department.
Please help us keep your cost to a minimum by providing a written brief prior to the day of what you are aiming to achieve. This will help us maximise the aerial time.
Operations from private sites are possible according to legal and aircraft performance considerations.
Helicopters with floatation devices are available for over water tasks.
